Overview
Ordinance 98-30 established the TIF Commission with the membership to be composed of the following:
- Six members shall be appointed by the City of Neosho
- Two members shall be appointed by school districts
- Two members shall be appointed by the Newton County Commission
- One member shall be appointed by other districts levying ad valorem taxes
Terms shall be designated at the option of the members appointed by the City of Neosho in accordance with the provisions of State Statutes
Section 125.130: TIF Commission
The City Council of the City of Neosho, Missouri, hereby expresses its intent to designate a redevelopment area located within the City limits of the City of Neosho, under the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act of the State of Missouri (herein referred to as the Act)

There is hereby created an 11-member Commission to be known as the TIF Commission. Members shall be appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Act, shall serve the terms of office as provided for in the Act, and shall have those duties authorized and allowed by the Act. The Commission shall elect from its members a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, and a Secretary, and may adopt rules and regulations for its own organization and procedure as it may deem proper, not inconsistent with law and the ordinances of the City.
