Neosho Stream Guide

Neosho is blessed with a number of streams, many of which are formed by the abundance of springs. These many springs are the inspiration for the logo "City of Springs", and include names such as:

  • Bell's Iron Spring
  • Bethesda Spring
  • Big Spring (originally known as Clark's Spring)
  • Birch Spring
  • Brock's Spring
  • Carter Spring
  • Hatchery Spring
  • Hobo Spring
  • McElhany Spring
  • Mertin Spring
  • Morse Spring
  • Sevier's Spring

Streams formed by these springs include Hickory Creek and Big Spring. These streams are major features of the city park system and are tributaries of Shoal Creek.

Check out the Neosho Stream Guide (PDF) to learn more about the City's waterways and how you can help preserve them.
