Home Reassurance Program

The Neosho Police Department’s Home Reassurance Program is a free service designed to provide residents with added peace of mind while they are away from home. Through this program, residents can request periodic checks of their residence during vacations or extended absences. If a concern is identified, the homeowner will be notified promptly. This initiative supports community safety and helps ensure homes remain secure while residents are away.

What Does The Program Do?

When you enroll in the Home Reassurance Program, your residence will be added to a list of homes for officers to check on while you’re gone.

  • An officer will conduct a walk-around inspection of your property, looking for:
    • Suspicious activity
    • Obvious property damage
    • Signs of burglary or attempted break-in
  • If something appears wrong, the officer will:
    • Take appropriate action on scene
    • Contact you or your designated emergency contact
    • Initiate a police report to begin a criminal investigation, if needed
  • If everything appears normal, the officer will sign off on a checklist confirming the inspection was completed that day.

This program does not replace your normal home security measures, but it adds an extra layer of reassurance from your local police department.
